Second Northeast Georgia Vestibular Support Group Meeting Featuring
Dr. Richard Panico
On Saturday, March 27 at 10 a.m., the Northeast Georgia Vestibular Support Group will meet at the Athens Regional Medical Center to discuss coping mechanisms for vertigo, imbalance and dizziness as a result of debilitating inner ear disorders.
Dr. Richard Panico, founder and Medical Director of Athens Regional Mind Body Institute, will speak at the event.
The Northeast Georgia Vestibular Support Group was formed last fall to provide support, information and services for people coping with balance disorders, dizziness, vertigo, motion intolerance and other health related problems.
Panico is a board certified psychiatrist who specializes in mind-body medicine and the integration of yoga and medicine. Currently, he is directing research on the integration of yoga into Western medicine. Panico is a sought after speaker, well known for making complex scientific subjects enjoyable and entertaining.
The meeting will take place on the third floor, rooms C and G, of the Medical Services Building of Athens Regional Medical Center on King Avenue.
