How Does LACE Benefit You?

LACE

We live and listen in an incredibly noisy world. In many situations, the noise around us makes it very difficult to listen effectively. However, if you want to hear well in life, you have to learn how to listen more effectively in noisy situations.

LACE training significantly helps people with listening difficulties because it:

  • Teaches you that hearing does not equal listening.
  • Demonstrates that not every word needs to be understood to get the message.
  • Helps the patient adjust to new amplified sound.
  • Builds confidence that you actually heard and understand what was said.
  • Provides hundreds of communication and compensatory strategies.
  • Improves cognitive skills training (speed of processing and auditory memory).
